Into The Woods - 5e One-Shot

Explore the wilderness. (7).png

For our fourth One Door Dungeon, we bring you Into The Woods. We decided to make a room that was fun for players of all levels and the way to do this was to turn them into woodland creatures and let them struggle with little to no abilities or magic as if they were level one again. We were very specific in the creatures we chose so that the party was able to offset the challenge of the Dire Wolf.

This one was a lot of fun to design and we hope you enjoy our next one-shot and continue coming back to join us for more in the future!

We have a guide for the One Door setting over at Tavern of the One Door and you can play in an entire setting where every so often a new door pops up and the party can dive in. That way you save on the prep time and have everything you need to just hop right in. Other than the players of course.

Be sure to download the session guide above and the map here and if you need characters to dive into the dungeon we suggest heading on over to www.dndbeyond.com to build some in minutes.

And now we present to you, One Door Dungeons’, Into The Woods.

(I can feel eyes watching me from the treeline.)

SETTING NOTES

As the players blink away the bright sunshine they realize their armor is gone. And so is their hands and feet, in their place are wings, hooves, and claws. While they frolic in the bright forest clearing they hear a howl on the wind. And then another. And another.

Into The Woods is an original idea by Devin Steffens, Merlin_NV on Twitter, be sure to drop him a follow.
